The user will first download the Merge local wallet and create a receiving address. The swap process will be hosted on a website. The user will go to the swap website and pick the coin being swapped. On the website there will be an exact ratio for the coin being swapped. There also will be a calculator that will allow the user to calculate the amount of Merge to be received once the current/old coin is swapped. If the choice to swap is made, the user will enter the Merge address created in the local wallet to recieve the new Merge coins and an address to send the old coins to, will be provided. The user will then send the old coins to the old coin address provided on the website. Once the old coins are sent to the address there will be a waiting period for the send transaction to confirm, up to 30 min. Once the send transaction is confirmed, the new Merge coins will be sent to the new Merge address that was created in the local wallet and entered on the website. The old coins will from the address that the user sent to, be sent to a burn address. When the old coins are recieved at the burn address the old coins are now unusable and taken off the old coin blockchain and out of the old coin supply. The address the old coins were sent to, will be trackable by the user to confirm the old coins are unused and burned at the burn address.
